At nine years old, I was handed my first camera that began a spark of a world of dreaming, creating, and “shooting for the stars”. From films that only a handful of people watch, it led me to my freshman year of high school where I quit the basketball team to pursue other dreams, one of those being videography.
At seventeen years old, after learning that the power of a good story, the fun in doing life together, and the challenge of making something people want to see, my high school friends and I made a ninety minute movie that was shown for two weeks in local theaters. We were teenagers taking on a dream that was unreal, but with the good Lord, we achieved it more than we ever could alone.
Years since those days, you learn a lot about what you do, why you do it, and why you keep on keeping on. I’m twenty three years young now. Honestly, I can’t say that I thought I’d be where I am today back when I was that young nine year old boy, but I wouldn’t trade my days for anything.
Two years ago, Wallace Videography launched and has been able to open doors that never were in my sight. All thanks to the Lord, my wife, family, and friends, we have had opportunities that we are very proud to have accomplished.
THANK YOU because without the Lord and you, we would not have had the doors to walk through. But also, there’s another thing as well. No matter how old, smart, good looking, skilled, or whatever it may be, you can strive to make the best out of your life and make the world a more loving place because of the talents, skills, and heart the Lord designed of you. No one can be you but you.
For the many days to come, Lord-willing, I walk side by side with my wife and continue the journey started fourteen years ago as a young boy and his camera now as a young man with his wife who can’t wait to see what’s next for us.
